Pressure-sensitive contact mats and touchless switch for healthcare

The CareMat contact mat from BBC Bircher Smart Access is used as a tool in healthcare to help those who have dementia and those who are prone to accidents.

It is connected to the nurse call system directly and is activated immediately when pressure is applied to the mat. This better protects the people being looked after from falling or wandering off.

As soon as the person being cared for puts weight on the mat, a signal is forwarded to the nurse call system, which is then activated. It represents a valuable aid to caregivers and nursing staff thanks to its reliable and pressure-sensitive properties.

The touchless CleanSwitch enables hygienic opening of doors by hand gesture - for example in medical environments, restaurants or tattoo studios.

With the CleanSwitch Lock version, it is also possible to lock doors without contact. An LED display indicates to the user whether a door can be operated or whether the room is locked. The CleanSwitch Lock can be used to equip lock systems or sanitary facilities, for example. The CleanSwitch is a particularly popular solution for barrier-free construction - for example in accordance with DIN 18040-1. The switches are ready for operation in just a few minutes and can be installed in all standard flush-mounted boxes.
