BBC Bircher Smart Access opens doors

Experience "Smart Sensing Solutions" from Switzerland at R+T 2024

BBC Bircher Smart Access will exhibit at R+T 2024

The new DualSense sliding door sensor, the CleanSwitch touchless switch and the comprehensive ExpertSystem safety edge range are the highlights of BBC Bircher Smart Access at the world's leading trade fair R+T in Stuttgart.

The Swiss experts for access systems place particular emphasis on ease of installation and user-friendliness - without compromising on performance and security. Proven and innovative solutions from BBC Bircher Smart Access will be on show at R+T in Stuttgart (19-24.02.2024) (stand 8C61 in hall 8) - including the new DualSense sliding door sensor, which has been specially developed with ease of use and handling in mind.

New combination sliding door sensor sets standards

The new DualSense from BBC Bircher Smart Access is a sensor for activating and protecting automatic sliding doors in accordance with EN16005 (including emergency exits). It was developed with ease of installation and commissioning in mind: In addition to the radar and active infrared sensor, the modern housing also accommodates a large display. Using the integrated mini-joystick and an intuitive quick-start menu, commissioning the sensor can be completed in five simple steps.

QR codes can be used to call up information and documents (e.g. the operating instructions) from the device or online. DualSense is already suitable for escape and rescue routes as standard and will be launched on the market in spring 2024 in three colors: white, silver and black.

Door protection without compromise with the ExpertSystem

The safety edges of the ExpertSystem XL can be used to conveniently secure a wide range of automatic access points - for example in industrial buildings as well as for area and perimeter protection. A proven solution with radio transmission is also available in conjunction with the ExpertSystem XRF range of switching devices. Six different profile heights, high sensitivity and consistently soft deformation of the ExpertSystem XL as well as reliable signal processing and transmission of the ExpertSystem XRF ensure maximum safety at the door.

As of this year, the ExpertSystem also complies with the UL 325 standard and is also FCC-compliant. It is now also approved for the North American market. For BBC Bircher Smart Access customers in Canada, Mexico and the USA, this opens up new possibilities for securing automatic doors and gates.

Hygienic access from all positions - also with locking mechanism

The CleanSwitch from BBC Bircher Smart Access is causing a sensation in building automation and is often the first choice in high-quality and barrier-free environments. The contactless gesture-activated switch offers contact-free and therefore hygienic opening of doors - for example in medical environments, restaurants or tattoo studios

With the CleanSwitch Lock version, it is also possible to lock doors without contact. An LED display indicates to the user whether a door can be operated or whether the room is locked. The CleanSwitch Lock can be used to equip lock systems or sanitary facilities, for example. The CleanSwitch is a particularly popular solution for barrier-free construction - for example in accordance with DIN 18040-1. The switches are ready for operation in just a few minutes and can be installed in all standard flush-mounted boxes.
